We play a lot of obon/festival gigs. And we sample a lot of food.




Diablo Fest has some of the best eats.


















Mrs. Doi (a Junior Taiko mom) and her mother make us peach pie at this festival every year. The peaches are always perfectly ripe, and the crust is so beautiful that it belongs in a textbook.


























This year, Mrs. Doi's daughters (Katie & Michelle, the JT kids) helped make the pie.









Isn't that awesome? Culinary knowledge handed down from generation to generation (Wisa, are you reading this?).























Of course, we'd do this gig without the pie.
